Um… I think there’s nothing better than loving steampunk.

From Russian artist Igor Verniy, there is nothing quite more industrial-esque than this! This type of artwork is something I have happened to learn of this year and the work is amazing! Check it out…

Electronics, watches, and old car parts have come a long way into a new form.

The Kadinsky Poster

Kadinsky Poster

Kadinsky Poster

Some visual principles at work in this Kadinsky poster is a visual hierarchy for one. Your eye goes to the “Kadinsky” first because it is the darkest and the biggest and its in contrast to the red and beige-like color from the background. There is a strong balance between negative and postive space so it does not seem overly crowded with just words or images. The International Typographic Style also known as the Swiss Style visually relates to this specific poster because it has readability and cleanliness. The whole layout seems slanted and in this style, pretty much everything was assymetrical. They had also used a grid in order to know where to place things and design better. They used typography as a primary design element.

Revolution – Android Jones

“Android Jones is at the forefront of the trans-dimensional art movement. His body of work aims to emphasize creativity as the foundation of consciousness and an agent of social change. Moving beyond the traditional organic vegetable and animal technologies of pencils, ink, and brushes, Android develops latent possibilities within software programs such as Painter, Photoshop, ZBrush, and Alchemy, discovering new combinations and uses for tools that exceed the original intentions of their programmers. Viewing the digital domain as a medium of energy and light capable of expanding the nature of reality, Android’s art encourages others to explore the potential interfaces of mind and machine in this time of accelerating change and increasing novelty.”

What inspires me could be anyone or anything that is around me. It’s the same as my change in moods. Whether it’s what I appreciate outside in the world physically; the outdoors, nature, culture, or work that I see from others. I can’t think of one specific thing that inspires me because it’s all about everything that is already around me and how it makes me think and what ideas come to my mind from it. All I know although is that my inspirations come straight from what I believe in and what fascinates me most. Personally, my style and how I want to be seen become my inspirations. Growing up, you become true to yourself because you are finding out who you are and so your inspirations follow. The way I already dress, my culture, religion, etc. nourishes the work I want to make because I want to make it my own and I want it to resemble me.
